The Nine Steps to Successful Floor Laying

1. Remove as much freestanding equipment from the work area as possible.
2. Sweep the floor to remove any debris.
3. Fill in any significant cracks or holes but don’t worry about the floor being uneven as the tiles will follow the contours of the floor.
4. Start installation as close to the centre of the room as possible. If you want to use ramps in a doorway simply lay a line of tiles from the centre of the floor to the door and adjust the starting point to allow the ramp to sit in the desired finishing position.
5. Lay the tiles working out from the centre of the room in a circular fashion towards the walls.
6. Once all the full sized tiles have been fitted allow the tiles to settle for 12 to 24 hours before cutting the tiles up to the walls. This is not essential but will help ensure that you leave a large enough expansion gap.
7. Cut the tiles up against the wall or fixed point leaving at least a 5mm expansion gap.
8. If required, the expansion gap can be covered with our PVC skirting or filled with flexible, polyurethane mastic.
9. Your floor is complete and ready to use!
